The Art of Sushi

Begin your journey to becoming a sushi master! Learn the techniques, tips and tricks to creating beautiful restaurant quality sushi, serving sauces and condiments at home!

In this hands-on two fun-filled hours, you will gain some insight into the world of sushi, by learning where to source the best sushi ingredients, basic Japanese knife skills and how to spread, layer, tuck and roll four different types of sushi. This class will focus on creating the traditional 'Hosomaki' roll with cucumber, wasabi and sesame seeds, the inside-out 'Uramaki' California roll with crab stick, avocado and cucumber, and the 'Temaki' hand roll with spicy tuna and scallion. You will also learn how to make a popular carrot and ginger side dish and a spicy mayonnaise.

You will work with other students in groups of 2. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in, especially if you’re part of a large group. Outside drinks are not allowed. 21+ only.
